NFT MARKETPLACE DESIGN

Designing a Web3 marketplace inspired by OpenSea, with simplified user flows, a clear information hierarchy, and a modern interface to make buying and selling NFTs accessible to everyone

Year:

2022

Sector:

Web3 / NFT / Marketplace

Client:

Rarity Market

Duration:

1 year

Featured Project Cover Image

THE CONTEXT:

Rarity Market wanted to launch an entirely new NFT marketplace — a product built from scratch, with no existing base to evolve. The goal was to build, from the ground up, a marketplace that allows users to explore, buy, and sell NFTs in a simple and secure way — accessible to non-Web3 experts.

MY ROLE:

UX and UI design of the product in its entirety, from market analysis to final mockups, in direct contact with the technical teams.

Approach

Market analysis and benchmark — Study of existing NFT platforms to identify best practices, trends, and recurring friction points in the user experience.

User needs analysis — Understanding the real expectations around the purchase, sale, and management of NFTs, for profiles ranging from the experienced collector to the simply curious.

UX/UI interface design — Wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes designed to clarify information and make transactions understandable, even for a non-initiated audience.

Structuring of the Design System — Organization of UI components to guarantee visual consistency and facilitate the platform's evolution.

Collaboration with technical teams — Regular exchanges with developers to ensure technical feasibility and faithful integration of the interfaces.

THE CHALLENGE:

To make a technical universe (blockchain, mint, wallet) understandable without jargon, while avoiding the "dark and saturated" aesthetic too often associated with NFT marketplaces — and without losing the perceived value of the works.

RESULT:

Better understanding of NFT transactions thanks to a clearer prioritization of information

  • Simplified pathways for exploring, buying, and selling

  • Enhanced accessibility for novice users in the Web3 ecosystem
